I agree with some of the previous reviews on this one, solid study that is great for outreach. There's few studies I've seen get more attention for church wide outreach campaigns other than the purpose driven life. I think the book is great, the workbooks are really good as well. It would be 5 stars in my book if the videos were a little bit more engaging and higher production value. But overall some great content.

We did this study as a whole church campaign and it was highly successful! I would agree with some other reviews stating that it was a little shallow, but it was a great entry way into our church. This small group material enabled new Christians to ask non-church friends to come to small group in a non-threatening way. We saw our commitment level, attendance, and maturity all increase with this study. The videos are well produced and put together. But it is hard to mess up the storytelling of Max Lucado. The study was easy to follow and allowed our leaders to feel more prepared for their lesson. I highly recommend this study. If nothing more than for maturing your core base of people.

We did a sermon series and small group based on 3:16. It was a great study and the people enjoyed it but it was a little light on content. I think if I was to use it again I would shorten up the number of weeks.

Our small groups and classes used 3:16 as a Church Wide campaign. We found that it provided a source of encouragement to believers to reach out to their friends with the simple message of the gospel. It also made it easy for small groups to include new comers in the conversation about saving faith in Jesus. The videos were well produced and short enough that you can still have time for a small group lesson and discussion. The book was very nice and many of our adults were able to pass them along as gifts to friends after the study. The study guides were used as teacher resources in our church, but would work even better if each student had their own copy to journal and record discussion thoughts in.
