In the past several years, God has been shepherding me back into his fold. It's hard to believe the kindness and care He's shown toward me. At this point in my life, I've grown closer to God than I've ever been before. I'm so grateful to Him for bringing me here, although it's been a rough journey. I trust that His grace will carry me through to the finish.
My whole life I've studied God's word, genuinely desiring to know Him, but not always willing to give up things that were keeping me from Him. That's a sure-fire recipe for a stalled walk with God. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. I've come to the realization that love is the only thing of real importance in the world. Submit to God's love and everything else will follow. That's my personal goal: to see God's kingdom formed in me, to look more and more like Jesus.
As to the other stuff about my life; I'm married to a wonderful husband and have a 16 year old daughter still at home. She's home schooled and we teach art together at an after school program in town. I'm a professional potter, writer, registered nurse (inactive), and children's church pastor at our church. We live in the woods and enjoy woodsy things like walking around looking at trees and deer and making log furniture. We're eager to see where God will take us next in His “great adventure.”
